Lake Swannanoa located within the former Ringling Manor Estate is a private lake community. The original Ringling buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places. The fifty-one acre lake abounds with fish and offers a home to a multitude of resident and migrating wildlife and birds. Members enjoy a friendly community atmosphere and share a respect for its pristine environment.
The Lake Swannanoa Homeowners Association purpose is:
To protect and enhance the waters of Lake Swannanoa and the lands surrounding the Lake so that its members may enjoy fishing, swimming, boating, ice skating and other recreational activities.
To provide members with the opportunity to enjoy, recreational, and educational activities of Lake Swannanoa in an approved and safe environment.
To establish, promote, and enforce guidelines and regulation that will preserve and maintain the privacy, serenity, beauty, and the natural resources of Lake Swannanoa and its environs.
To protect the historic nature and buildings as recorded in the State and Federal Register of Historic Places.
